A narcissist smear campaign is an attempt by someone with narcissistic personality disorder to gain control of a person or persons.[1]
Narcissistic smear campaigns are also used as a manipulative tactic used to maintain the narcissist’s inflated self-image of himself that also attempts to discredit his target.[2]
According to the journal Criminologie, Scientology engaged in narcissistic smear campaigns and L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of Scientology, was a malignant narcissist.[3]
