National Labor Relations Board

National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is a United States Government agency which prevents and remedies unfair labor practices by employers and labor unions. It was created by the Wagner Act in 1935, as a major effort of the New Deal to promote labor union membership and power. The NLRB is still in operation but its pro-union bias was corrected by the conservative Taft-Hartley Act of 1947.
