New Apostolic Reformation
The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) is a movement, primarily within Pentecostal and Charismatic movements, to establish what would be a "fifth house" within Christianity (alongside Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Oriental Orthodoxy, and Protestantism).
The movement differs from traditional Protestant teaching in several areas:
- The NAR believes that the offices of apostle and prophet did not disappear after the Apostles died, but continue today
- The NAR has a strong view of "extra-Biblical revelation" (though it claims that any such revelation cannot disagree with or supersede the Bible, in practice it often does)
- The NAR strongly holds to a form of the Dominion Mandate, believing there are seven areas where Christians have lost influence and need to reclaim such (the seven areas are religion, family, education, government, media, arts & entertainment, and business).
