Non-Playable Character (NPC) is any character within a video game which the person playing the game may not (it is impossible/or improbable/or extremely difficult to) play as.[1] However, this term is most often used to refer to unscripted model animations used for crowd filling, and thus most NPC's are considered to be boring, uninspired, or repetitive.
