Obama transition team refers to the team of people selected to plan the forthcoming Obama administration. The Obama transition team has received a budget of $12 million and has employed over 500 staffers to assist in transition operations.

Promises

Barack Obama made many promises on the presidential campaign trail. He vowed during his campaign that lobbyists "won't find a job in my White House." Yet, they have made their presence known in Obama's transition team. Nearly 40 registered lobbyists are involved in Obama's transition team.
