Old Testament morality
From Conservapedia
Old Testament morality has come under attack from atheists professing to see only cruelty and oppression in God's dealings with the ancient Hebrews. Their case is based entirely on Biblical quotations which seem outlandish in the light of modern Christian and particularly American ethics.
Most theologians and historians see Old Testament law and moral rules as elevating the status of women.
