Opium
From Conservapedia
Opium is a narcotic drug, a crude extract of the opium poppy, Papaver somniferum. Morphine, and its prodrug codeine, are the narcotic substances that occur naturally in opium. Further processing of opium produces heroin, synthesised from the dry latex of the opium poppy, and other opiate drugs, so called for their source, although some such drugs are synthesised by scientists in labs using the same chemical structure.
Opium may have been used since at least as early as 3400 BC.
