Pascagoula, Mississippi

Pascagoula is a city in Mississippi, on the Gulf of Mexico.

It houses one of three deep water ports in the state.

In 1973 two local residents claimed to have been abducted by aliens, one of a rare number of purported such incidents.

Pascagoula is the home of Ingalls Shipbuilding, the state's largest employer, which manufactures vessels for the United States Navy.

The city is featured in Ray Stevens' song Mississippi Squirrel Revival.

It is the birthplace of noted pop singer Jimmy Buffett.
