Phagocytic vacuole

A phagocytic vacuole is a substructure of a phagocyte, which is a type of cell that is part of the immune system. Phagocytes ingest foreign objects (such as bacteria, viruses, and dust)[1] and destroy them with acidic enzymes within the vacuole.[2]
