Printing images that span multiple pages

Printing images that span multiple pages can be very difficult, and Microsoft Office products don't explain how to do it. If you have a very tall image to print, you can either use an image editor to break it apart manually or you can use this undocumented feature of Microsoft Excel.

Paste the image into Excel. Then adjust the Print Setup for 1 page wide by 99 images tall. Look at Print Preview to confirm that the image is being split automatically or spanned onto multiple pages.
