Project X (disambiguation)

Project X is a common metaphor for a secret project, often run by the government, and usually involving the military. As such, Project X can mean:

  • A 1968 motion picture in which a spy, in a dire future in which the Cold War never ended, is subjected to a simulated reality in an effort to restore to him certain crucial memories that were wiped at the disastrous end of his last mission.[2]
  • A computer game (full title: Megaman: Project X) in which the player controls an avatar having unusual athletic ability.
  • A shooting-gallery-type game for the Amiga computer gaming console, released in 1992.

The phrase Project X is also used to describe any secret project by a private company specializing in home entertainment or computing.
