Public Service Announcement

A public service announcement (commonly abbreviated as a PSA) is an advertisement, not to sell a product or service, but to promote a concept "for the public good." The typical buyer is either the government or a non-profit organization promoting a value it finds conducive to good government or to its version of a sound society. Public service announcements commonly deal with issues such as illegal drugs, texting while driving, etc. They are usually put on by either a government agency or political organization.
