Ramstein (full name: Ramstein-Miesenbach) is a small town with fewer than 10,000 inhabitants in the German district of Kaiserslautern, a part of the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate. It is home to the biggest American military base in Europe, the Ramstein Air Base.

The Air Base was built in 1951 and used a part of the motorway (Autobahn) Mannheim - Saarbrücken as an airstrip. It is home to the „435th Air Base Wing“ (ABW) and the „86th Airlift Wing“ (AW).

Since 1973, it hosts an annual air show. During the event in 1988, the second-deadliest air show accident occurred when aircrafts of the Italian Air Force display team collided during their display. Three pilots died and 67 spectators were killed.

On April 26, 2022 Biden regime defense minister Lloyd Austin met with defense heads from 30 nations at Ramstein Airforce base to discuss the Russo-Ukraine war;[2] weeks later Ramstein Airbase announced, "We’re celebrating Pride Month at the Ramstein Library with Drag Queen Storytime! Be sure to wear your brightest and most colorful outfits!”[3]
