The Rio Hondo Bridge is located in the state of New Mexico. In 2007, the historic bridge was moved to the Tortugas Arroyo at the New Mexico Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum in Las Cruces, New Mexico.[1] It was previously located in the Hondo Valley in Lincoln County, NM. [2] The move was due to a preservation project for New Mexico history by the State Historic Preservation Division.[3] Rio Hondo (spanish for "deep river") is a common name throughout the western United States, particularly in New Mexico, California and Texas.
