Robert Dale Owen

Robert Dale Owen was an author and Democrat member of congress from the state of Indiana. He was the son of utopian socialist Robert Owen, and spent some time managing the socialist experiment at New Harmony. Owens also was an early proponent of birth control, and authored Moral Physiology in 1830 along with Charles Knowlton.[1]
He was the author of several books, most notably The Wrong of Slavery, the Right of Emancipation, and the Future of the African Race in the United States.
