The Sack of Baltimore was an attack on the village of Baltimore in Ireland on June 30th, 1631. Barbary pirates from Algeria and the northern coast of Africa were behind the attack. It was the largest of its kind on either Ireland or Great Britain. Between 100 and 200 villagers were captured and sold into slavery as a result of the attack.
