Salt Lake City, Utah

Salt Lake City is the capital city of the US state of Utah. It had a population of just over 178,000 as of 2005.[1]

It was founded on July 24, 1847 by 148 Mormon pioneers[2] and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is headquartered there.

The city hosted the 2002 Winter Olympics.
