Sea Peoples

The Sea Peoples were a coalition of different seafaring peoples who raided Egypt during the 20th dynasty under the rule of Ramses III. They also raided the Hittites, and others.
One of the groups of peoples in the coalition was the Philistines. After failing to conquer the Nile Delta, they invaded and conquered parts of Palestine. They later menaced the Israelites, in particular King Saul and King David.
