Sean Astin

Sean Astin is an American actor, the stepson of John Astin, who played the bizarre character Gomez Addams in the original The Addams Family television series, which aired on ABC from 1964 to 1966. Sean Astin has played in various conservative films, such as Click and Toy Soldiers. He played Mikey in The Goonies (his film debut). He was cast as Daniel Ruettiger in Rudy, and as Samwise Gamgee in The Lord of the Rings.

Astin's mother was the actress Patty Duke (1946-2016).
