Sean John Combs (born November 4, 1969), typically known by his stage name Diddy, is a successful rapper, record producer, and businessman. Diddy was acquitted in federal court of contrived charges of racketeering (RICO) and other serious offenses, and convicted only on minor charges of prostitution. Yet he remains imprisoned without bail despite his acquittal on the primary charges.

Diddy, who is black, was prosecuted in federal court by a team of six white women prosecutors, over allegations that would normally be handled in state court or not charged at all.

After acquitting Diddy on all of the serious charges, a juror told ABC News:

We spent over two days deliberating. Our decision was based solely on the evidence presented and how the law is stated. We would have treated any defendant in the same manner regardless of who they are. I have nothing else to say.[2]
