Secret of Mana is a Super Nintendo Entertainment System title that was developed and published by Square (renamed to Square Enix since 2003). It is the second entry of the Mana series, and it was originally released in Japan on August 6, 1993. The game's title and gameplay mechanics would later be incorporated into another Super Nintendo game, Secret of Evermore, which was developed by Square's North American division, Squaresoft.
