Serena Williams is a devout Christian, the longstanding #1 women's tennis player in the world, and probably the greatest women's athlete of all time. However, she bore a child out of wedlock (though she subsequently married the child's father) and nearly died from later complications.
At the U.S. Open in 2015, Serena Williams seeks to become the first player to win a calendar Grand Slam in 27 years.[1] On three women in history have achieved that feat.

Serena Williams defeated her sister in three sets on September 8, 2015, advancing to the semifinals of the U.S. Open, two victories away from winning only the fourth calendar Grand Slam in the history of women's tennis.[2]
