Seven Spanish Angels is a country song, a duet with Willie Nelson and Ray Charles (Charles sings the first verse and the chorus, Nelson the second verse and joins Charles on the outro).

The song tells of an outlaw and his lover. In the first verse, the outlaw is wanted in Texas (the reason not mentioned) but insists to his lover he will not be taken back alive; he then engages in a firefight with a posse and is killed. In the second verse, the lover is distraught at his death and points the outlaw's gun at the posse, which promptly returns fire, thereby she dies via "suicide by cop".
