-he was born of a virgin
-his birth was heralded by the star Sirius
-his birth came to be celebrated during winter solstice ( around December 21st )
-his birth was announced by angels & observed by shepherds & by 3 solar deities
-he was baptised in the river Eridanus & his baptiser was later beheaded
-he walked on water, cast out demons, healed the sick, restored sight to the blind
-he gave a sermon on a mount
-was executed along with 2 thiefs
-was buried in a tomb
-descended into hell but was resurrected after 3 days
