The '''Dodge Viper''' is an American [[supercar]] made by [[Chrysler]] under the [[Dodge]] brand.  It is the first car in the world to be powered by V10.  The engine was originally designed to power the [[Dodge Ram]] truck.  It gets a bad rap from European elitists who deride it as primitive, despite its innovative features, but it still destroys its competition for a fraction of the cost. Some Europeans, however--Jeremy Clarkson of [[Top Gear]], for example--like it because of its simplicity. The dodge viper will be racing in the ALMS and WEC series next year, the program is widely believed to be using bailout funding and being run from the RML factory in the [[UK]]
