The precise equation for time dilation can be obtained without any notion of light or relativity. The answer sought is to the question: ''what causes time dilation''? The answer is a rare application of beauty and simplicity and delivers more than that.
The question is this: are laws of physics the results of predetermined relationships, or are they result of using information?
This has never been done before, and so I present a revolutionary approach to fundamental physics. It does not argue or disprove any existing physics ''per se'', and you could say that it doesn't introduce new physics either. Yet the idea is very simple and it produces mathematical results that unite Relativity, Quantum Theory and Gravity.

It turns out, there is a connection between information processing and SR/GR time dilation.
In a simplified way, the more information there is, the slower the rate of physical processes.
Antecedent to first concept of physics, main SR/GR results can be derived out of thin air, without postulates.
