==Introductory sentence==

The First sentence in the article currently reads as follows:
+
:I don't really know much about the subject, but the points seem to be valid.  It looks like the change was made, but was then reverted without giving a reason.  Could someone that knows more about the subject than I do explain please? thanks, [[User:Cmurphynz|Cmurphynz]] 02:54, 25 October 2012 (EDT)

:The Big Bang theory is a scientific theory used to account for the acceleration of matter throughout the Universe.
  −
  −
That appears to me to be wrong.  Firstly, the ''acceleration'' of matter is a relatively recent discovery and is currently explained by reference to what is called dark energy.  Secondly, as the article explains, the theory is not about the expansion of matter but also the expansion of space itself.

I propose that the sentence read as follows:
+
::The individual who made them was originally thrown out of the site a long time ago, but apparently it hasn't sunk in.  What it amounts to is a "push and shove" upon the site to force a theory as a fact, something we're just not going to accept.  [[User:Karajou|Karajou]] 03:16, 25 October 2012 (EDT)
