An ancient symbol, the swastika also used in the flag of [[Nazi Germany]] which made it taboo in most Western cultures.

There are two main symbolic meanings of the swastika:

[[Hinduism|Hindus]] and [[Buddhism|Buddhists]] continue to use the swastika for religious purposes, seeing it as a symbol of good fortune.

-symbol commonly associated with [[Nazism]].

 

As an ancient religious symbol, the swastika has powerful symbolic meanings in the [[Jain]] religion

 

The Nazi swastika is "right facing", while most religious instances of the swastika re "left facing".
