The Pennine Hills are a range of Hills running south to north along the centre of England from the North Midlands up to the Scottish Border. As such, they are referred to as the 'backbone of Britain'. The Hills are home to three [[National Park]]s, the [[Peak District]] (Largely in [[Derbyshire]]), the [[Yorkshire Dales]] in [[Yorkshire]], and the Northumberland National Park. The highest hill in the range is [[Kinder Scout]], in Derbyshire which is 2088ft (636m) above sea level.
