Cosmology was certainly geocentric before [[Copernicus]] (1473-1543), but [[geocentricity]] and [[sphericity]] are two entirely different issues, both scientifically and historically. Educated medieval people assumed that [[Earth]] was the shape of a globe, just as they assumed that Earth did not rotate and was the center of what wee now call the [[solar system]] .[http://www.lawrencehallofscience.org/pass/passv10/flat-earth.html]

Wow, just wow.  The discussion of cosmology on this page is just pathetic. I think who ever edited this page would be content to return to the middle ages and let everyone think that the earth is flat. I guess when some people are confronted with the concept of infinity or very large scale numbers, their brains just need to shut down and they retreat back to the bible.  Try reading the book "'''A Universe from Nothing: Why There is Something Rather than Nothing"'''[[Link title]] by physicist Lawrence M. Krauss.  Your brains will probably explode.  A book written by people with scientific PHDs, who dedicate their lives to discovering the basic forces and origins of matter and the universe.  This book shrinks the influence of God about down to nothing which will drive some readers crazy.  Are you man enough to face the truth???
