Peretti's work ''Hangman's Curse'' was made into a film in 2004. Again, in 2006, Peretti's novel ''The Visitation'' was released on DVD. It starred Edward Furlong and Martin Donovan. The film differed from the book in several ways. In 2007, his work ''House'' is expected to hit theaters. ''Monster'' is currently in pre-production and is expected to hit theaters in 2008. He also desires to make ''This Present Darkness'' and ''The Oath'' into films.
