UConn's newspaper is ''The Daily Campus'', which is published every weekday. The paper has four main sections - commentary (opinion), news, sports, and focus, which is about video games, movies, and other entertainment.

In 1994, commentary columnist Jennifer Nielsen called the school's affirmative action program "racist". This led to a serious of protests among [[liberal]] and [[minority students]] who demanded that the undegraduate fee for the paper be eliminated (it wasn't). However, this piece did not represent the paper's opinion, only Nielsen's.
