Special relativity is the limiting case of general relativity where all gravitational fields are weak.  Alternatively, special relativity is the limiting case of general relativity when all reference frames are inertial (non-accelerating and without gravity).

Eddington measured the angle of a deflected light wave off the coast of West Africa during the 1919 eclipse and confirmed Einstein’s theory of relativity. But . . . for a light wave to produce an angle, the light wave must have been pulled round to Eddingtons line of sight. This proves the image used in comparison was not the image destined for West Africa, but an image already offset, thus increasing the angle. To see diagrams explaining the error, click [http://www.jonathangrey.co.uk/emc2-doesnt-compute/ here] and click on the front cover image, and then go to page 5 and 6. <ref>[http://www.jonathangrey.co.uk/emc2-doesnt-compute/ E=mc2 Doesn’t Compute] by [http://www.jonathangrey.co.uk/emc2-doesnt-compute/ Jonathan Grey]:</ref>
