The [[NHL]]'s [[Carolina Hurricanes]] moved to Raleigh from [[Hartford]], [[Connecticut]] in 1997.  They play at the RBC Center, formerly the Raleigh Entertainment and Sports Arena.  In 2006, the Hurriances won the [[Stanley Cup]] over the [[Edmonton Oilers]].
