Whiskey is a distilled [[Alcoholic drinks|alcoholic beverage]], commonly made from malted cereal grains such as barley, rye or wheat.  One common example is "Scotch" which is made from malted barley and is made in [[Scotland]].  [[Ireland]] is also a large producer of Irish Whiskey. Whiskey originates within [[Scotland]] and [[Ireland]], where it was originally, and currently, spelled "Whisky" (minus the "e").
