The Broncos, perhaps to appease [[Colorado]] [[liberals]], found a way to trade Tebow without infuriating his numerous fans.  The Broncos signed a neck-injured, elderly quarterback [[Peyton Manning]] to a deal costing nearly $100 million, and then immediately traded Tebow to the [[New York Jets]].  As the trade was finalized, on March 22, Tebow arrived in Morristown, New Jersey (near where the Jets train) amid much media publicity and fan support.

During the 2012 season, Tebow has been kept on the bench while Mark Sanchez has played poorly in game after game.  For example, on November 22, Sanchez played the entire game against the Patriots, despite causing the team to lose 49-19.  Even after Sanchez repeatedly turned the ball over by throwing interceptions and fumbling the ball by running into his own lineman after a botched handoff, Tebow was not given a chance to play.
