I fully believe that, yes, public schools can liberally indoctrinate students - I certainly had a few teachers like that myself - but I also had a lot of hard working teachers, and this notion that public schools foster or encourage mental illness is completely false. − − This guy was completely disturbed, and the fact is that no country - even where there are "strict gun control" laws - can prevent a madman from grabbing a weapon and creating tragedy, but demonizing teachers or the school system is unfair. Let's also not forget that this particular school did nothing wrong, and all evidence shows that the teachers and principal bravely attempted to protect their students or stop the shooter, at the cost of their own lives. − − I hope to be a public school teacher someday; I have hoped this for some time, and these teachers are role models. −
