::Appease is probably the wrong word - it's them targeting a type of consumer that looks to purchase "environmentally friendlier" cars. The politics of a global warming debate do not belong on a car page, no. Norman's correct. :::I have already refuted this argument more than once. GM is selling only 100-to-200 vehicles a month. They'd have to sell something like 5,000 vehicles a month to justify their development costs. Please check the articles I link to above. Since GM went to court to try to avoid California's ZEV regulation, I assume that they were already aware that there was no demand even before they decided to go ahead with the project.
