This and that

CMOS, the most widely used style guide, says to follow Merriam-Webster on matters of spelling. They give the Muslim holy book as "Koran." ''[http://ahdictionary.com/word/search.html?q=Koran&submit.x=0&submit.y=0 American Heritage]'' does the same. [http://ajrarchive.org/article.asp?id=4239 AP style] is "Quran". "Qur'an" is the usage of religious tracts and seems a bit overly deferencial here.
