'''The Handmaid's Tale''' is a novel set in the near future in which [[conservative]] [[Christianity]] has achieved ascendancy over the [[United States of America]]. Though often thought of as a dystopia, the novel contains many positive aspects, such as the outlawing of [[abortion]] and [[feminism]] and the abolition of the [[separation of church and state]].
