God wants us to worship Him, not because he has a fragile ego or anything like that. He wants us to worship him because through our devotion to Him, we move closer to him, we travel a path that returns us to him. In other words, He wants us to worship Him for '''our''' sake, not for His. I don't think it's for '''His''' benefit because God is infinite and doesn't need any benefits from us. I hope that helps.

It is clear to me that if God exists (which is highly doubtful) and is anything like what the Bible says he's like he must either be an ego maniac or have the maturity of the average 9 year old (no offense 9 year olds). Jesus was probably a good person but he currently wasn't related to God.
