This group is better known as "ISIS"
Most of the media is still calling this group "ISIS". See [http://www.foxnews.com/world/2014/08/04/military-analysts-islamic-state-gains-show-militants-are-being-strategic-in/ Fox News]. or ''[http://online.wsj.com/articles/william-a-galston-why-oppose-an-independent-kurdistan-1407283819?mod=Opinion_newsreel_11 Wall Street Journal]'' The name "Islamic State" is confusingly similar to "Islamic state," i.e. the generic concept of a state based on Islam.
