{{cquote|We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.}}

:We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

The Preamble was incorporated into a song which schoolchildren sang in the 1970s.<ref>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHp7sMqPL0g</ref>  Notice the artful phrase "to form a more perfect union," which became one of the most famous phrases in all of the founding documents of the United States.
