A '''Halo''' is a radiant circle of light above a person's head, often depicted in [[Christian]] [[art]]. Halos are associated with being good and holy, so they are present about the heads of Saints, Jesus, Mary etc.
Halos are not mentioned in the [[Bible]]. Some Christians consider them to be a [[pagan]] adaptation into Christianity.<ref>[http://www.gotquestions.org/Bible-halos.html What does the Bible say about halos?]</ref>
The word halo is often associated with the video game series by that name - See: [[Halo (video game series)]]
