|Continues the homosexual themes Disney first introduced in their previous animated film, Wreck-it-Ralph. Two sister princesses who live together in a palace are split up due to bigotry. Said bigotry is directed against one sister, Elsa, because of the ice powers she was born with; her society, including her parents, has falsely taught her that her powers are harmful and something to be ashamed of, with the villains of the story even labelling her "a monster." Eventually, Elsa runs away and refuses to return, creating her own ice palace where she resolves that, although not ready to face the rest of the world, she will no longer be ashamed of her powers. The other sister, Anna, sets out to find her. When she does, Elsa makes the familiar statement that it would "hurt other people" were the two of them together. Later on in the story, Anna is told she must commit an act of true love to unfreeze Elsa's heart. Initially thinking that "true love" can only be heterosexual romantic love, she finally discovers the answer is her love for her sister.
