:Yes, Satan is/was most certainly an angel. Jews still believe Satan is an angel as they do not believe angels are capable of disobeying God and therefore Satan could never rebel against God as that would mean the angels were imperfectly created. Satan is a servant of God in Job and God accepts responsibility for Satan's actions against Job when Job and God speak.
