'''David Brat''' (b. July 27, 1964) is the Republican Congressman-elect for Virginia's 7th District. Brat shocked the nation with his historic defeat of House Majority Leader [[Eric Cantor]] in the June 2014 [[Republican]] primary after being outspent 40 to 1. Prior to politics, he was a Director of Economics at Randolph–Macon College. <ref>[http://faculty.rmc.edu/dbrat/ David A. In the [[2014 Midterm Elections]], Brat defeated his fellow faculty member, Democrat Jack Trammell.
