I think this page should be deleted as it serves no purpose what so ever. I have put a vote up so we can vote on the issue. Please attach your signature and a # to whichever one you wish to vote for. Dvergne 05:41, 29 April 2013 (EDT)

#I voted to keep this article, but my vote was removed for alleged "trolling". So I will restate my case in a less snarky manner. I don't see anything wrong with a bit of levity as long as it is clearly marked as an essay and is not masquerading as a genuine article. Though I don't find User:Conservative's work to be funny in the slightest bit, that's not reason enough for deletion. --DonnyC 23:27, 3 May 2013 (EDT)

#People who stumble upon this place should be able to see exactly the kind of site this is.  These sorts of articles should be linked to from the mainpage so nobody is under any illusions about the quality of the discourse.  We have to reach rock bottom before we can improve as a site.  --DamianJohn 05:57, 4 May 2013 (EDT)

:::Cons, old mate; two against and one "wait and see" is not a "mob" by any definition of the word. (Unless it was three and a bit bottles of Bundy in NFQ - "How much ya drink last Sat'dee, Dick?" "Big mobs, mate, would you believe, ay.") AlanE 22:03, 3 May 2013 (EDT)

:::: Mob is more commonly used by aborginies referring to groups of white fellas(or sometime others such as lebos, wogs, coconuts/fobs, asians ect.) people. Or a number of kangaroos are also called a mob. Some nice tucker in that mob, hey uncle?. Also only had a quite one last saturday mate, had a six pack or two and a fair whack of rum bottle. Actually I'm very good at controlling my emotions. Also I don't think typing a # and giving a four word reason requires a great deal of focus... KBeer 22:21, 3 May 2013 (EDT)

What about Labor Day? --AugustO 03:08, 11 April 2015 (EDT)

:As far as a Labor Day article, show me an encyclopedia article from a reputable encyclopedia with the word atheism/atheist/atheists in it. You can't do it. They all use the words machinist, labor unions, etc. In addition, the holiday was founded by someone with the last name of Maguire and my guess is that he was an Irish-Catholic, blue collar worker and not an atheist.
 +
 +
:Second, the article was entitled; "Atheist holidays filled with goodwill, charitableness and <big>good cheer</big>". Communist governments have often been tyrannical, enriched corrupt government dictators/officials while at the same time preaching equality and giving lip service to workers/laborers/International Workers Day/Labor Day.  Given the pace that evangelical Christianity is spreading in China/Latin America/South America, Africa and various poor/developing countries, if the Lord tarries, I have my doubts that there will be any communists left by the end of the 21st century. So communists, who are not known for their cheerfulness, have even less to be cheerful about. See: Growth of Christianity in China and The rise of biblical creationism in Mexico and its effect on American creationism and Creationism is exploding in the fast growing country of Brazil and spilling into its South American neighbors and Third world/developing countries, poverty and the growth of biblical Christianity.

:Regardless, China recently had a crackdown saying that if you are a communist, you have have to be an atheist (started cracking down on a previous little enforced rule) which is no doubt related to Christians infiltrating their ranks due to conversion, etc.   Right now, there are more Christians in China than members of the Communist Party and people are comparing Christianity eventually prevailing over the Roman Empire to present day Christians in China eventually prevailing over the communists.

:In addition, again the article was entitled; "Atheist holidays filled with goodwill, charitableness and <big>good cheer</big>". The rise of globalization, increasingly sophisticated robotics and debt laden Western governments trimming back on government worker benefits, etc. does not bode well for labor unions, the secular left/communists. Not a lot for them to be cheerful about. Conservative 09:49, 11 April 2015 (EDT)
