:* I meant that I am familiar with the LDS church (having family who are part of it and having read a decent amount about the church) but not an expert on the topic. I would guess that the individuals that wrote the article are probably more or less on the same level of knowledge as me. Being arrogant like that doesn't help either. According to [http://www.lds.org/temples/chronological/0,11206,1900-1,00.html] the church has '''128''' temples, not '''12800'''. [[User:RichardSears|RichardSears]] 17:08, 20 April 2009 (EDT)

==Deity of Christ==
 +
This article states,"Latter-day Saints (Mormons) believe in the deity of Christ." I do not think that is true. Well, it is and it is not. Mormons believe in a trinity of three completely separate Gods. God the Father is Elohim, he is the chief God of Mormonism, he is the entity that they worship. The Holy Ghost and Jesus are considered lesser Gods, and I believe that they are not actually worshipped by Mormons. From my understanding, the statement that Mormons believe in Christ's deity is misleading at the very least. Bill Keller is a Christian pastor in Florida who I know is very extreme and I would not endorse his religious views or his bigotry against Mormons, but he has said Mormons reject the divinity of Jesus. I think he was correct about that topic. Also this source, "While Mormons claim to believe in the deity of Christ, we have already observed that they do not believe in the true 'deity of deity'; for the Mormon, God and man are of the same species. Consequently at the end of the day Jesus, and even God the Father for that matter is but an exalted man different from us [i.e. human mortals] in degree but not in kind." The Deity of Christ
