In 2010, the film ''Devil'', directed by famed American horror director John Erick Dowdle was released. Shyamalan both produced and wrote the film. The plot of the film revolves around a belief that the devil walks the earth, hunting those who have sinned, bringing them together and torturing them before killing them one by one. Despite warm reception from liberals, the film contains many gross religious inaccuracies.
